A trauma experience is anything a person deems traumatic that can alter a person's baseline level of functioning in multiple ways. These experiences can elicit a host of reactions that may be scary or unfamiliar, but understand these are normal reactions to abnormal events.
Trauma healing occurs when these reactions are worked out in a therapeutic capacity, and you regain control over your life.
“There is a gift in trauma; one that people do not see for themselves, and have difficulty understanding. This gift, once realized, is essential for individual survival and is the most empowering part of the therapeutic process. Together, we work on dissecting your trauma and empowering you to be the best version of yourself. This may be difficult at times; however, by being true to the process, you will reset your life in the right direction. You have made an important step in rediscovering yourself, and we are heartened to be a part of that journey.”
