We offer an adaptive trauma informed approach to counseling for adolescents, and adults. Each of our associates is trained to work with individuals, couples and families for a multitude of mental health needs.

Each of us operate within our own private practices and bill independent of McAvoy 911 unless otherwise specified through sub-contracting.
Michelle McAvoy BA (Hon), BSW, RSW, MSW
Registered Social Worker with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW).
I work with individuals (aged: 12-65 years old), couples and families.
I specialize in providing therapeutic support for: First Responders and their families, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Occupational Stress Injury, Chronic Pain, Substance Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Physical Abuse, Emotional/Psychological Abuse, and Death & Dying.
I have certifications in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Advanced CISD (Critical Incident Stress Debriefing), and I am certified with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) (Bronze certification).

My practice focuses on working with First Responders and their families Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Occupational Stress Injuries (OSI), Anxiety, Depression, and Chronic Stress. I also provide support for individuals recovering from the impacts of Emotional, Physical, and Psychological abuse.
I have specialized training in Trauma-Centered Practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and First Responder Health Occupational Awareness. Alongside traditional office-based therapy, I also offer Equine-Assisted Therapy.

I offer a direct approach in an informal home-based setting working with teens, adults, couples, and families specializing in eating disorders, body image, self esteem, interpersonal relationships, anxiety, depression, childhood sexual trauma, communication, occupational stress, and marital conflict resolution.

Adam Lorenz B.ED., M.C., R. Psych.
Adam Lorenz approaches therapy with openness, genuine care, and a nonjudgmental presence. His work is rooted in attachment theory while remaining flexible and client-centred, drawing from a range of techniques to meet each person’s unique needs. He prioritizes empathy, building strong therapeutic relationships that foster trust and positive outcomes.
Adam has experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, OCD, disordered eating, relationships, and performance issues. His background as a school teacher gives him insight into the challenges faced by students, parents, and educators, while his long career as a combat sports coach and professional athlete informs a strengths-based, practical approach to growth and resilience.
